Role: Contributing Developer

Collaboration: Development, Design, Marketing

Key contributions:

  • Contributed as part of a team maintaining and extending a mature marketing site; work was iterative (new pages, template adjustments, and refinements to existing patterns rather than a greenfield build).
  • Jet Fuel Prices (Argus): customized the Argus API integration and presentation layer so price data could be surfaced reliably on the front end, including a tabbed layout that grouped related datasets so users could find the right view quickly.
  • Featured News: extended the AJAX-driven filtering behavior on the Featured News experience so content could be narrowed interactively without full page reloads.
  • Landing pages / modules: created or modified back-end landing page templates and wired ACF-driven module content into those templates where the site’s component system called for it.

Airlines for America (A4A) is the trade association for the leading U.S. airlines, both passenger and cargo carriers, prioritizing safety and security during this time of record passenger volumes and increased reliance on air cargo shipments.

Airlines for America was ongoing team work on a site that grew and hardened over time across multiple contributors. My contributions were mostly on the data-to-UI boundary: tightening how Argus jet fuel data was integrated and rendered, and shaping the front end into a tabbed interface so different data slices were scannable instead of buried. I also shipped incremental product work typical of a long-lived publisher site: new templates where needed, small but important tweaks to existing implementations, ACF module hookups for landing pages, and improvements to AJAX filtering on Featured News.
